Publication and Grant Guidelines

For any publications or grant applications with data acquired on the core instruments, please follow the guidance below.

Acknowledgements

Acknowledgments play a vital role in supporting the core! We kindly request that you acknowledge the UCSF Innovation Core in publications, presentations, grant applications and reports or any work that benefited from our services.

You are welcome to acknowledge specific staff members or types of support as appropriate, provided that the core name is stated correctly.

Standard acknowledgment example:
"We thank the UCSF Innovation Core at the Weill Institute for Neurosciences for light microscopy infrastructure and support."

Proper Reporting for Method Sections

Please send us a draft of your method section, with a few business days to spare, and we will make sure it has all the necessary information (hardware, imaging settings and image processing) reported accurately.
